sad facts of life..

yup its sad i got only a week and a half left here! i totally dont wanna go back if i have my way!i miss the people in sg but i dont miss the country and the character of the mainstream people!

anyways this shall not be of singapore... have 6 pictures to upload today (trust me i've taken over 400 since i came here). my trip to uss midway was the best thing that happened in my life.. i sat in a fucking full scale simulator.. with g-forces and full axis movements and for half an hour.. i 'flew' a f-5 over the skies of vietnam engaged in air to air with mig-29s and i completed my tour of duty (or so they call it) with 3 and a half kills! lol the guy was impressed cos most people struggled getting one.. (rsaf u hear that..)

evidence of me coming out of the simulator.. alive! though rather.. 'high' from all the turning around (sgh a very big fuck you for recommending my ns downgrade i didnt faint!)

in the united states air force the captain is always on the left.. in every single thing.. radar watch towers ship bridges and even commercial aircraft adopt it (dono about other countries but i think darly mentioned it b4 its the same). that space there is big n comfy n spacious but GETTING there is a pain in the ass u gotta crawl through a rat hole n squeeze through a fucking stupid hatchway before jumping over the central control to ur seat.. (world war 2 aircraft.. not many had canopies which went up like modern fighters).

i could post a million pictures of the aircraft buti shall not.. these pictures ill definitely show to daryl when i get back.. n the pictures of the 2nd part (the tour of 4 ships n a russian submarine) to the other daryl! today was a big daryl day.. and this 1 is for the daryl whose sailing..

as the saying goes 'captain on the bridge'.. the vertical climb to the uss midway bridge was an adventure in itself.. first they screen you next u gotta be above a certain height n weight lest the wind blow u away and lastly.. u actually have to show ur damn id! well all because the view around the bridge is extensive and right opposite us was a us naval air base.. and an active aircraft carrier.. the latest in the fleet was there after coming back from a tour in the persian gulf which had on it advanced 'classified' navigation systems! so much for the explanation..

after midway was a trip to an old russian sub.. i swear it was small n tight inside there... totally screwy man.. but its nice.. we also visited 2 ships.. 1 that starred in a movie that i forgot the name and the other the 1 used for pirates of the carribean part 1 and 2.. recognize this thing?

to the depths...

also i dont know if im the only slow one here but only 2 people can look through that vieweing periscope thingy on a submarine.. the captain.. and the watch officer.. if anyone else looks through it.. the captain would chain him n use a lighter n burn his eyes and dispose of him through the rubbish chute.. nah im just kidding but i guess no one would dare do such stuff.. u actually see so little through it... i wonder how they tell man they must have trained eyes for details man!

defy the капитан (well that means captain) there's alot more of those weird writings in the sub! i wish i knew russian now!

alright the adventures of keval has ended for today... it will continue tomorrow and i dedicate the next picture to all my friends...

yup whiteboys only people thats the us of a for you!

peace!

-капитан mee
